Ms. Darla Elaine Garrison Chappelear, age 62, of Toccoa, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born April 9, 1963 in Decatur, GA, she was the daughter of Harriett Denise Cowan Fain (Ronnie) and the late Freddy Lane Garrison.

Ms. Chappelear was a cashier and server at Dollar Tree, Chick-Fil-A, McDonald's, Walmart, Western Sizzlin, Quincy's, Quality Foods and Pings.  She was a member of The Pointe Church.

Family members include her sons, Austin Henson (Alexis) of Easley, SC, Aaron Chappelear (Jana) of Toccoa, Randy Chappelear, Jr. (Courtney) and Ronny Chappelear; grandchildren, Aubri Chappelear, Bentley Chappelear, Mason Chappelear, Robert Chappelear, Alex Chappelear and Colt Lance; sisters, Angie Garrison Howard and Rebecca Garrison; half-sister, Kimberly Shipman; special nephews and niece, Andrew, Adam and Adrianne Williams; previous husbands and caregivers, Randy Chappelear, Sr. and Stan Henson;  and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Heath Garrison.

A Celebration of Life will be held at five o'clock Monday, October 6, 2025 at The Pointe Church with Pastor Chad Smith officiating. Ms. Chappelear loved the Georgia Bulldogs, so the family requests that everyone wear red and black to the service.
