Mr. Daniel Lester "Shorty" Anderson, age 77, of Eastanollee, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at his home.

Born December 5, 1944 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Lester and Edith Geneva Allen Anderson.

He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and was retired from the Toccoa Housing Authority.  Daniel was an avid NASCAR Fan, a Mr. Fix-It, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play baseball.  The grandchildren loved their "Bop".

Family members include his wife, Dianne Thompson Anderson of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Bethany and Bradley Elrod of Toccoa; son, Dustin Anderson of Eastanollee; grandchildren, Zeke Anderson, Dylan Elrod, and Aniston Elrod; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Debbie Anderson of Knoxville, TN and John A. and Debbie Anderson of Watkinsville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Anderson and Billy Joe Cheek of Eastanollee; brother-in-law, Timmy Thompson of Eastanollee; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Tuesday, March 8, 2022 and Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Thursday, March 10, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty, the Rev. Roger Elrod, and the Rev. Craig Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dwight T. Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Brett Davis, Timmy Thompson, Michael Nadeau, and Branson Hill.
