Connie Lynn McClain, age 61, of Toccoa passed away at her home on Friday, March 26, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Connie's love of life didn't come to an end with her death.

She was born to Bill and Cynthia McClain on Born February 19, 1960 in Atlanta. She was a beloved daughter, caring sister, and doting aunt and great-aunt.  Connie attended Chamblee High School where she made friends that lasted her lifetime.  After high school, she attended and graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.  Connie was a project manager, and that job was truly perfect for her.  She managed projects at work and used that same energy to manage everything at home.  Connie had a spreadsheet for everything (we are not kidding when we say everything) and though she might not have been the boss at her job, she was most definitely the undisputed boss at home.  We are pretty sure she is currently working on a spreadsheet in Heaven.  She loved spending time traveling, knitting, and being with her family and friends and she loved UGA Football.  Connie loved her church family as well.  She will be remembered for bringing people together.  From organizing class reunions to organizing a yearly family reunion, Connie was passionate about gathering those she loved and celebrating them.  She loved her family and her friends fiercely.  Connie loved Jesus and that love radiated through her.

Family members include her mother, Cynthia Smith McClain; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Phil White of Toccoa; nephew and his wife, Daniel and Sandy White of Toccoa; niece and her husband, Callie and Andrew Clough of Buford; great-nephew, William Clough and great niece, Charlotte White, who were the lights of her life; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Whitlock Mortuary from 2pm – 4pm Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at one o'clock Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Andy Childs officiating.

Entombment will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Daniel White, Andrew Clough, Kirk Rogers, Bryan Rogers, Jay McClain, and Chris Moss will serve as pallbearers.

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, social distancing will be observed.  Those attending the service are encouraged to wear a mask.
