Rev. Clyde Franklin Knight, 93, husband of Nellie Stephens Knight, of 953 Avondale Drive, Seneca, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Cottingham Hospice House.

A native of Oconee County, SC, Rev. Knight was the son of the late Clyde and Rosalee Rice Knight. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War and was a member of Coneross Church of God. Rev. Knight was an ordained Bishop for the Church of God.

In addition to his wife, Rev. Knight is survived by his sons: Danny Knight (Wanda) of West Union, SC, Rev. Steve Knight (Wanda) of Easley, SC, and Gary Knight (Tina) of Toccoa, GA; six grandchildren: Bradley Knight (Holly), Stephanie Knight, Chris Knight (Jennifer), Stacy Black (Kory), Jordan Yearwood (Keaton) and Kaitlan Knight; and eight great-grandchildren: Ava Knight, Greta Knight, Harper Knight, James Knight, Jolie Knight, Emma Knight, Bowman Knight and Brady Black.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Knight was preceded in death by his brothers: Roy, Sam, J.B., Harold and Melvin Knight; and sisters: Ruby Knight, Helen Turner and Lucille Ellenburg.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 3, 2021, at Gap Hill Church of God with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family requests that any ministers and their wives in attendance serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Davenport Funeral Home.
