Mr. Charles Earl Wright, Sr., age 72, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023.

Born January 22, 1951 in Knoxville, TN, he was a son of the late William Earl Wright and Katie Essie Saul Wright.  He was previously employed with Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville, as an insulator, and he was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle.

Family members include his wife, Cindy Beasley Wright of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Chuck and Karen Wright of Toccoa, and Chris Wright of Knoxville, TN; a step-daughter, Kristy Wilkins and her husband, Tyler, of Toccoa; step-sons, Josh Hancock of Knoxville, TN, Gary Gullion of Florence KY, and Robert Gullion of Demossville, KY; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wright, Brandon Adams, Nicole Adams, Cheyenne Adams, all of Knoxville, Will Wright, Emily Wright, Zoey Wright, and Zander Wilkins all of Toccoa, Joey Gullion and Eva Gullion, both of Florence, KY; and a brother, James Daniels of Puerto Rico; and a special friend, Paula Wilkins of Toccoa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cara Adams; and two brothers, Bill Daniels and Tom Daniels.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, June 30, 2023 at Whitlock Mortuary.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Tom's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Marcus and the Rev. James Daniels officiating.

Burial will follow in Tom's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Will Wright, Len Daniels, Jody Daniels, Levi Dodd, Gary Gullion, and Tyler Wilkins will serve as pallbearers.
