Mr. Charles Wilburn Henson, age 85, of Toccoa, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at The Clary Center in Toccoa.

Born January 13, 1938, in Moultrie, Ga, he was the son of the late Cecil Watts and Pauline Hart Henson. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was retired from Milliken after 35 years.  Mr. Henson loved his family, was an avid runner, a gardener, and had his pilot's license.  He graduated from Auburn University in 1960, was an Auburn Fan, a Braves Fan and a Falcon's fan.  Church was a big part of Mr. Henson's life, he was one of the founding members of Grace Baptist Church and served there in many capacities.

Mr. Henson is survived by his wife, Alice McMahan Henson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Charles and Tama Henson, David Terrell and Tammy Henson, and John Michael and Natalie Henson all of Toccoa; Twelve grandchildren, Charles Austin Henson, Brian Matthew Henson, Alex London, Cain Clayton, Connor Henson, Grace Seagraves, Madison Henson, William Fritz, Meradith Henson, Aidan Henson, Logan Henson and Abigail Irvin; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Penn and Sarah Drill; a brother Frank Henson; and a mother-in-law, Dora McMahan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Rawls.

The family will receive friends at the Mortuary, Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 1pm-2:30 pm.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock, Saturday, September 30, 2023, from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Dr. Paul Moore officiating.  Entombment will follow at Stephens Memorial Mausoleum.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Austin Henson, Matthew Henson, Cain Clayton, Connor Henson, Dustin London and Evan Seagraves.  Logan Henson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
