Mr. Cecil Freeman Cheek, age 66, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Landmark Hospital in Athens, GA.  He was born December 9, 1955 in Toccoa.

Mr. Cheek was employed with Dempster Dumpster.  He loved his family.  He was a Mustang fan, loving the Cobra, Boss 302 and the Shelby.  He also enjoyed fishing, and driving his 18 Wheeler and Harley Davidson's.

Family members include his long-time companion, Robin Maney of Toccoa; daughters and sons-in-law, Katina Cheek of Cartersville, GA, Krystal and Bryon Burns of Canton, GA, and Kristin and Tommy Dabbs of Kennesaw, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Wanda Cheek of Carnesville, GA; step-son and his wife, Carey and Tracy Maney of Dawson, GA; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cheek was the son of the late Thomas and Helen Massey Cheek.  He was also preceded in death by his step-son, Daniel Bales.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until the service hour Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Sunday, November 6, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Harris Pressley officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Terrence Cheek, Treythan Mayeaux, Kameron Mayeaux, Carey Maney, Tony Westmoreland and Eddie Davis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whitlock Mortuary to assist with funeral expenses.
