Brittany Alyse Stancil, age 27, of Toccoa, GA, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Born January 15, 1995 in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of Kelly Stancil and Melissa Ivester.

Brittany was a Stephens County High School graduate and had earned her Bachelor's Degree in English at Piedmont College where she was the Valedictorian of her graduating class.  She was academically gifted and was a top honor student.  Brittany was also an avid tennis player.  She loved nature, animals, and was an inspiring writer.  She was employed with Peach House Farms (peachhousefarm.com) as a farm assistant manager.  Brittany was really excited and loved her job growing flowers and vegetables to sell at markets around Northeast Georgia and upstate South Carolina.

Family members include her father; her mother; uncle and aunt Cale and Krista Stancil; cousin, Brooke Stancil; grandmother, Teresa Segars; and her special dog, Maylee (Squashie).

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patsy Haygood Stancil; and her grandfather, Bobby Stancil.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, July 22, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Childs officiating.

Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Toccoa – Stephens County Humane Society.
