Mr. Bobby Wayne Clardy, age 76, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born May 25, 1947 in Columbus, MS, he was the son of the late Walter Byron and Dorothy Hartley Clardy.

Mr. Clardy was a self-employed building contractor for many years.  He was well-known for writing many letters to the editor of various newspapers.  He enjoyed creating birdhouses and making hand-turned pens, and he loved fall and Christmas-time.  He was an adoring husband, a loving father, and endlessly proud of his grandchildren.

Family members include his wife, Kerry Clardy of Toccoa; daughters, Angie Flye (Randy) of Mobile, AL, Jenny Taylor (Robbie) of Columbus, MS and Kathy Clardy of Toccoa; son Ben Clardy (Tambi) of Toccoa; grandchildren, Madison Bishop (Mitchell), Landon Flye, Cross Taylor, Maggie Taylor, Ashton Taylor and Molly Clardy; and brothers, Larry Clardy of Los Angeles, CA and Don Clardy (Becky) of Columbus, MS.

Memorial services will be held at four o'clock Monday, December 18, 2023 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 515 Lehmberg Road, Columbus, MS  39702.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully ask for donations to the Covenant Presbyterian Church and roof repair.
