Mr. Billy Ray Cantrell, age 66, of Toccoa, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Stephens County Hospital.
Born September 11, 1954 in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Harley Lee and Mary Ivester Cantrell and had lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was a member of The Lighthouse Church where he played the guitar and sang. Ray Loved to play his guitar and sing gospel music. He was retired from Masters Furniture Company.
Family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Lee and Sarah Leverett Cantrell of the home; a daughter, Belinda Denise Cantrell of Savannah; bothers and a sister-in-law, James and Leila Cantrell and L. C. Cantrell; sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Bill Gordon; a great friend for over 30 years, Charlie Childs; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Pitts Cantrell; brothers, Jake Cantrell, Calvin Cantrell, Earl Cantrell, and Marvin Cantrell.
Mr. Cantrell's wishes were to be cremated.
A memorial service was held at the Lighthouse Church. No other services are planned.
