Mr. Benny F. "Pepsi" Ramey, age 89, of Toccoa passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at his home.

Born June 21, 1935, he was the son of the late Esco J. Ramey and the late Ruby McGill Ramey Hall.

Mr. Ramey was a retired supervisor at Coats & Clark, and was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church.  He was a craftsman, painter and salesman.  He built carpenter bee traps, and loved watching wrestling and car racing on TV.

Family members include his daughters, Cindy Stephens (Barry) of Jefferson, GA, and Joan Ramey of Toccoa; son-in-law, Bobby Dove; grandchildren, Ashley Stephens, Andrew Stephens (Victoria), Randi Garland (Carson Woodall), Christie Walker, (Douglas), and Benny Garland (Kate); great-grandchildren, Cohen Stephens, Ivy Stephens, Jack Garland, Max Garland and Olivia Garland; extended family, Jeff, Dena, Megan and Hannah Lunsford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louellen Leopard Ramey; daughter, Martha Dove; and his two sisters.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 11am – 1pm Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Tates Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

Burial will follow at Martin Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Andrew Stephens, Jeff Lunsford, Dennis Smith, Jackie Carter, Derick Kowalsky and Larry Ansley.  Charles Cheek, Mark Wilkinson and Bobby Dove will serve as honorary pallbearers.
