Mrs. Barbara Patterson Whidden, age 75, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 at her home.

Born May 7, 1947 in Memphis, TN, she was the daughter of the late Armor R. Patterson and Elsie Mae Whitten Patterson.

She was a United States Army Veteran where she served as Captain, a Registered Nurse, and was retired from Lee Arrendale Prison.

Family members include her husband, William Mark Whidden; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Courtney; sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher Mark Whidden and Marea Sanchez, Michael Lee Whidden, Benjamin Louis Whidden and Tyger, and Andrew James Whidden; grandchildren, Katherine Emery, Victoria Emery, Kimberly Franco, Cesura Whidden, Taylor Whidden, Christopher Whidden, Jr., Madison Miller, and Jayden Whidden; and great-grandchildren, Ayden Franco and Asher Franco.

The family will receive friends at Whitlock Mortuary from 12 noon until 1:45pm Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday, December 10, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Mr. Don Franco officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Benjamin Franco, John Franco, Timothy Franco, Jake Franco, Aaron Franco, Joshua Franco and Caleb Franco.
