Obituary

Mr. Alton Joseph Pinson, age 94, of Martin, GA, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton.

Born June 1, 1931 in Cartersville, GA, he was the son of the late Isacc David and Bertie Blalock Pinson.

Alton was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in Germany.  He was retired from Owens Illinois Glass Company.

Family members include his wife, Bernice Nellerie Dacus Pinson; step-sons, Mike Lynn (Phyllis), Steve Lynn (Deborah) and Robbie Lynn (Tracy); brother, Marvin Pinson (Barbara); sister, Clarkie Grant (Bob); numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Friday, November 14, 2025 from 11 am until the service hour.

Funeral services will be held at one o'clock Friday, November 14, 2025 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Dacus officiating.

Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Senior Men's Adult Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Flowers are optional.  Those desiring may make memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
