Mrs. Betty Jean “Nana” Evans Martin, age 86, of Martin, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026 at her son’s home.

Born May 13, 1940 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Benny Woodrow and Ethel Winters Evans.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker, and was a member of Eastanollee Baptist Church.

Family members include her sons, Mike Martin (Cheri) of Toccoa, Bobby Martin (Gail) of Villa Rica, GA, Allen Martin of Martin, GA and Steve Martin (Lynn) of Bremen, GA; brother, Billy Evans; sister, Linda Walker; twenty-five grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry “Charles” Martin; her son, John Martin; brothers, James Evans, Benny Evans and Jimmy Evans; and sister, Martha Jane Evans.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12pm – 1:30pm Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Graveside services will be held at two o’clock Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Eastanollee Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky McFarlin, the Rev. Richard Ivester and Mr. Matthew Martin officiating.

Burial will follow.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Nicholas Martin, Matthew Martin, Dustin Martin, Kameron Smith, Ethan Smith and Aron Fouts.
